- MIPS, DEC, and Intel are all taking different paths to performance. MIPS is
- getting performance by advancing the architechure of their processors. DEC
- is going the "brute force" path by pushing the limits of clock speeds.
- Intel is going the low cost/multiple CPU route. They all have their
- stengths and weaknesses and are roughly comparable when used in manner in
- which they were designed to be used.
